Yeah, so... I'm getting back on track still... but yesterday was crazy in an awesome way... and then long story short... I'm starting college classes September 29th!
What?! I'm a college student. I'm 'going' to school at the Rocky Mountain School of Art and Design, and majoring in Illustration. It's a four year course
Tuition is lower already, I didn't have to pay the application fee, and I got a $3000 tuition reduction. It's pretty awesome! I didn't think yesterday morning I'd be doing anything like that, but I've already sent in the application and sent in my FAFSA, and they estimate I'll get some decent
pell grants and the rest in student loans.
So I'm pretty excited even though it's SO last minute. But I'm glad I'm starting it this year since a lot/most of my friends are starting their first year of college this year too. So, I'll be doing school with
So YAY! Which means I'm still busy... but Commissions (and Requests, Art Trades etc.) are officially closed so I can work on school. I'm finishing up my commission list/art trade list; but otherwise Commissions are closed.
But I am planning on being active on dA during school
I am SO excited!
And I'm loving my new job!
Ugh... I'm so sincerely sorry guys. I've really left things hang and slide here on deviantART. It's really easy to, especially since I still have no scanner...? I'm definitely drawing all the time... well, when I have the time.
And I just finished moving to a new job... you know the first move as an adult where you have no family around for at least 6 hours move? And you have to go find a new church... on your own? Everything on your own?
Luckily I'm rooming in a cozy basement of the only friends I have here in Iowa... the little girl here calls it calls it 'your lair'. But I'm here; the job is awesome... but I'm busy... (it's a sort of settling in busy).
And it's no excuse for how slacked off I've been on deviantART... but hopefully I'll get into a groove soon; after I get a scanner? I have lots of drawings I want to post; and I'm getting ready to plunge back into my commissions for the author Liz Patterson!
I've been good since I was last on here. I hope everyone else here was too?
I saw HTTYD2 seven times in theatres, and once in the IMAX... first time to see an IMAX 3D movie; and once, Toothless actually looked like he was coming out of the screen and was right in my face; I nearly squealed that time even though I had already seen it four times already; and I cried five of the seven times I saw it... multiple times. That movie is still perfect Perfect
Sooo? HURRAY ANKENY IOWA. I'm only three hours away from
How crazy is that?!
